About Classic Tbirds of San Diego
Founded in 1969
Classic Thunderbirds of San Diego (CTSD), Chapter 24 of the Classic Thunderbird Club International (CTCI), was founded in February 1969.
In 2019, we celebrated our 50 year anniversary by updating new member name badges with “50th anniversary.”
Monthly Meetings
At our monthly meetings, we discuss upcoming events, charity opportunities, driving tours, and technical questions and updates. Someone usually brings treats!
We meet on the 4th Sunday of the month, with some exceptions, at various locations in San Diego, such as Clairemont Mesa, Point Loma, Mission Bay, and MiraMar.
We also love to arrange caravan road trips around San Diego County and beyond.
Friendly Members
With about 100 members and honorary members on our roster, we welcome all Thunderbird enthusiasts.
We have 55-57 “Baby Bird” owners, 2002-5 “Retro Bird” owners, people who used to own Tbirds, and many others who simply love Thunderbirds.
Our members are from all over San Diego County— including Alpine, East County, Coronado, Point Loma, Escondido, Poway, Oceanside and other North County communities, and places in between.
